"Set in a beautiful, peaceful location, this was a wonderful place to stay. Although we were only there for one night, our room was lovely and ready for us on arrival. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. A delicious breakfast was also included, which was a great way to start the day."

"Treated like a second class person as we had a guide dog. Put in an awful room! Requested a fridge and to have a patio door but ignored. Paid premium price £171 of which £25was for our Guide Dog who is cleaner than a lot of their guests apparently. Compared to our previous stay it was very poor. Even said we were not allowed to stay in the room we had as it had been refurbished and no longer a dog room. "Booked a room that was advertising AC! Was told the room didnt have AC and a fan will be provided. There was a heatwave in the UK and a fan would not have been useful. False advertising. Double check before booking."

"We stayed overnight for a concert Sunny on reception was so friendly and helpful. We had a late flight home the following day and were able to store our bags so we could head out into London for the day. Excellent value for money."

"The room was lovely and clean. The air con in the room was very much appreciated given the fact it was so hot when we visited! Staff were so lovely and friendly. The grounds and lovely and safe, so our kids could wander around and feel a bit more independent even though we could still see them. Lovely, quiet pool, and the kids loved the peacocks!"

"Lovely Hotel with restaurant. Breakfast was very nice using good quality ingredients. I particulalry enjoyed the bacon. The restaurant was also very good for meals. Location was convenient for the centre of Stevenage. Staff were helpful and attentive."

"Shame we're not local or will visit Wendover again anytime soon, as we'd stay here again, no hesitation. Great location right in the middle of the town. Secure carpark. Lovely room, great size, neat, clean, can't fault it. Very helpful manager and staff. Breakfast choice was great. Bar and all grounds kept clean and tidy and the whole place had a lovely 'at home' feeling - shame we couldn't stay longer! Thanks for the hospitality - highly recommend."

"The hotel itself was fine. The pool which was one of the main reasons for booking this property was closed. Then the hotel sent me a parking fine for despite paying for parking and having a receipt which has been nothing but stress to have this finally removed"

"We did not realise that this hotel had separate “wings” and we ended up in a nice Travelodge building. This was clean and fairly quiet but quite a trek to the restaurant. The shower in the room was oddly positioned so you couldn’t turn it on or off without drenching yourself. However water pressure and temperature were excellent. When we arrived we were told we couldn’t use the pool until later because of swimming lessons. This is not mentioned in the Expedia advert. Some of the staff were...
