Great location! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and made sure they were available to welcome us. Cleaners did an amazing job of making sure our room was tidied every day. It was right in the heart of Venice, and walkable from the boat port from the airport. However, if you have lots of luggage, there are several bridges to cross and the cobblestone street made it difficult to maneuver my luggage. When we left, we took a private boat from the rear of the hotel, which made it very convenient to the train station. The historical beautiful property was very special.

it was a good stay. no complaints. the staff was very helpful and gave good instructions on how to self-check-in. the only kinda sorta not great thing was that our unit did not have a bathroom and so there was a separate private bathroom across the hall. just a bit inconvenient, but in all, not bad. i would stay here again.

This fabulous hotel and it's staff is absolutely amazing!! We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. It is a perfect location to all of the Old World sites of Florence and it was nice to have a short walk back to a nap and air conditioning in the afternoon. All of the facilities were top notch. If you can negotiate a few steps to the elevator, it is mobility friendly. Once we understood they like to communicate with Whatsap, communication was very good. There are limited power outlets, but this is expected for such an old area of town. My daughter and I both have hotel management experience and we were both greatly impressed with our stay. The comfort of the room and care of the staff made Florence a memory we will cherish always. Stay here, you won't regret it!!

Inconvenient checkin process and noisy room

The location was very convenient. The room looked to be newly renovated and spacious but the location is extremely loud. You can hear everything the people in nearby rooms are doing as well as people coming and going in the hallway all night long. The staff also over complicated the check in process. I was asked on three separate occasions to provide an exact time of my check in. As a traveler, it is very hard to provide a provide time. Then when I asked for an access code to the building, it was not provided until after I checked in. This is a very odd process from what I am used to with other hotels. I would not stay here again in the future based on the inconveniences.

Although this was far from the Ritz, Hotel Florentia was conveniently located, very safe with 3 different locks/codes to get to the room, and very clean. Not big at all but perfect for what we needed - a clean bed and a good shower. Would definitely stay again.

The room was very very small. Hardly space for one person to move. The most inconvenient part was the washroom was not ensuite - it was a few steps away - was private used by us but we had to lock and open every time we used it. Plus carrying our stuff back and forth.
