The pool deck and stairs are full of uneven boards, our room had an ant infestation, crumbs/dirt/food left on the table, the sheets were dirty, the shower was full of mold, the walls were stained and smeared with mystery substances, my gosh even the blow dryer was too disgusting to use…. "The Douglas House is really several houses, divided into comfy units, with a central area for the pool. There is a Koi pond and other seating among the lush foliage. Each unit also has its personal outdoor space and ours had three different places to sit. One of our loungers was broken and they immediately replaced it. "Location was great. Quiet street. Breakfast and Happy Hour was wonderful. Friendly staff. Location of our room was not great. Right outside the food bar and bottom of the steps. At night the guests returning were loud and obnoxious and woke us from our sleep. The guests across the hall locked themselves out of their room and were yelling and cussing at each other. There is no one on staff present overnight. Only a phone number for after -hours issues. "

"I enjoyed my stay at this property. Its a smaller 2 story place with that Old Florida look and vibe. It's not luxury but my Queen Suite lodging was perfect for me. Two good-sized rooms with daily maid service. The bed was nice and firm. The breakfast was rather simple- good if you just needed a quick bite to start the day.
