"A historical unique gem of an Inn in Winchester. Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Clean and well appointed room. Delicious dinner at the pub/restaurant downstairs. No elevator but staff was helpful carrying luggage upstairs to our room. This was a perfect stopover stay prior to our cruise out of Southampton."

"Function room, provided a comfortable overnight stay. Only downside is that there is no in house restaurant unless you want to eat Pizza Express. However there are several place to eat within walking distance of the hotel."

"A really nice overnight stay and dinner at The Swan / Bel and Dragon. The building is delightful - full of beams and historical atmosphere but very well maintained. The bar was certainly very well patronised and appears popular with locals while most of the 9 rooms appeared to be occupied, based on the numbers at breakfast. The location is perfect, right at the bottom of high street next to several historic sites and within easy walking distance of everything one would want to see in Winchester. The Japanese restaurant is fantastic. Make reservations as soon as you check in as it is not to be missed."
