I really do not like leaving negative reviews, but Abilene is consistently higher priced than the other cities I stay in (Tucson and Tuscaloosa) and the hotel is never as clean and up to date. "I booked this Motel 6 based on the pictures I saw on Expedia, and those photos were very misleading. The colors and basic layout of the room looked similar, but that's where the similarities ended. The cleanliness was nowhere close to what was advertised. When I got to my room, the bed sheets had makeup stains on them, the bedspread had burn marks, there were flies in the room, and I even saw roaches. The towel racks were dirty, and the overall room looked like it hadn't been properly...

"The room was clean and had no bugs. But when we arrived, our room had no soap and only one thin bath towel. The door was warped, and the deadbolt was very difficult to latch. The AC unit was noisy and looked like coffee had spilled on it. To top things off, it is hard to get into because it faces a one way street and the neighborhood is not great.
