"This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. There is ample seating outside which is great on a summers day,The grounds are kept beautifully. The hotel is an old building, unfortunately no air conditioning in the bedrooms due to the age of the hotel, but fans were provided, as we visited on the hottest day of the year. "I've stayed at the hotel many times in the past before it became a Warner hotel. Although the facilities are still excellent I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the food in the Market Street restaurant (both evening meal and breakfast). Perhaps it was just that the previous standard as a business hotel was higher than current. We also could not get air-conditioning working in our room ((2021) this appeared to of been a problem for a number of the visitors."

"We were placed in a room by the stairs. Every 10-15 minutes, you can hear people hitting their luggage on the stairs or ground since there was no elevator. This made sleep impossible."

Although it is advertised on numerous websites that the rooms are air conditioned the airconditioning had broken so there was nothing on the hottest day of the year. There was air conditioning in the reception that was working and units installed the rooms with control panels but were not working. Their explanation was that the pump or condenser was not working. "Visited on Monday 15 June. No staff to check in, just a door bell to security they then let you in to get your key from a key safe inside. No dinner or bar on Monday nights so went to the pub over the road. Double Room petite and bijou but adequate. Left before breakfast so did not speak to any staff during our stay!!!! On our previous visit we did have a very nice breakfast. Recommend it but don’t expect to be pampered, more like an Air B&B at least on a Monday or Tuesday."

"Beautiful surrounding. Hotel property is ok. On the first day at the reception I was given a room that takes about 6 minutes to walk,I went with 2 suitcases up a steep hill till the hotel area.the weather was really really hot.was not offered for someone to give me a hand! Then 1 flight up no lift.came there was exhausted as hell.no a/c in the rooms only small fan.did not sleep well 3 nights.in the morning 7.50 a.m working was going on on the roof really loud noise..so could not enjoy some...
