"We stayed at The Fleece for a couple of nights. Our welcome as a pleasant professional one, despite the bar and restaurant being busy. Our room and the linen was very clean, and although quite warm, there was a fan provided that did the trick. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was good, and the breakfast, which was included, was delicious. Lovely beer garden/ courtyard to enjoy a relaxing beer. "We have stayed here several times over the years as our daughter attended Lancaster University. This has always been our “Go To” place and has never disappointed. It is clean and tidy and has everything you need for a short visit. Our daughter has now graduated, but I am sure we will be back in the future and look forward to coming back to The Royal."

"There was only one aspect to fault, and that was the breakfast. It's a buffet style so the cooked food was in heated containers. Therein lies the problem, the chunks of fried potatoes we not really cooked enough and only warm, the bacon had been sitting there to long and was tough, the knives supplied were not sharp enough to cut it up, it had to be torn apart. "Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and the property were clean. Staff only entered rooms on request so i was happy to leave more valuable items in my room. Breakfast was good and basic. The parking on site is very limited but the whole of the prom has free parking."

"This property was a real treat! It felt very well catered, toiletries in the bathroom, water and milk in the fridge, and some sweeties on the table! Our visit fell during the heatwave so the property was really hot, but there were fans available for each bedroom which did help. Great value for money!"
