The only positive thing I can say is that the location is perfect/ convenient as it’s right on Seawall. Also we did had ocean view. All I can say is that the pictures online are deceiving Of what you get. If you are looking to spend your time mostly at hotel don’t book here. All the things others said are true. You don’t even get a blanket and they don’t mention you need to bring blankets there is only a sheet on your bed. Tv didn’t work, got fixed the night before checkout still was broken- had a line in the middle of screen.

Check in was quick and easy. Room smelled clean (smelled of bleach). Microwave was dirty inside (I did not use the microwave), refrigerator has 2 to 3 inches of ice built up.All chrome Lamps were crusted with rust. Bath tub had been reglazed and the reglazing was peeling off. The light fixture in the bathroom had melted area. Bathroom door frame needing replaced as the bottom is missing wood and paint. Armchair near bed needed wiped down as therebwas noted brown substance that had run diwn the arm arm and side if chair.

There were several broken, peeling or rusted items in the room. When we got there, there was almost no toilet paper, although the room had been serviced. The breakfast was terrible. The entire property was run down. We were very disappointed considering this is part of the Wyndham chain. Next time we’ll be going to Holiday Inn or the Hampton. What was shown online was very deceptive compared to what we ended up with, plus a $15 a day parking fee? What type of place provides a room, but no parking for their guests?

Great spot for the piece. Right across from the beach. That also means some of the metal appliances have some rust due to the salt. Staff was nice. Bed was comfy, AC works and there is the boardwalk just a 15 minute walk away.

The place was literally falling apart. My ceilings had paint hanging from them, everything was rusty and dirty. It was a dump and they price gouge for people using their facility to be close to the piers for cruises. The same room I paid $300 for was $60 the next night after the cruise took off. Pay a little more and go to another hotel chain. You may be a little further from the piers, but it’ll be worth it!

Owner’s name was John. Rudest property manager my wife and I have ever met. Booked two rooms, one of which was deadbolted with no one inside and no way to get in. They changed us to the room on the other side of our room, but only after two hours had elapsed since check-in, and the toilet immediately clogged when flushed. As it was overflowing, my son put towels down to stop the flow of water and this manager tried to tell my wife and I that they are unable to launder anything that had been soiled and that the towels would have to be thrown away and charged to us. I asked him if he has ever heard of bleach. We attempted to call the front desk multiple times and no one responded. We were told by the answering service that the property managers typically don’t answer phone calls. Other unresolved issues during our stay include, but were not limited to: TV in our second room had no volume, no landline phone installed in the rooms, no available wake up call, bathroom tubs were dirty, there were mildew spots on the ceilings, lights and lamps that didn’t work, keycard entry that only worked half the time, manager told us that he did not need to provide soap, shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Had to ask housekeeper for towels, front desk refused. At breakfast, items were not restocked when out, had to ask for butter, syrup, coffee to be made, etc. Awful customer service, only saving grace is this motel was right across the street from the beach and had a pool.

Checked in and went to the room where we found that the light fixtures were rusty, there was mold on the lamp shades, the sheets on the bed were wet and bugs in the bed along with no hot water. Went and got a different room at the same hotel and it was in worse condition than the first. When I checked out there was 5 other people in line requesting refunds due to the conditions of the hotel. Also the 15 dollar parking permit for the night was a surprise charge also.

My room was all damaged ! The ceiling paint was falling down, phone was not working sheets were not clean full of stain and hair, one bed sheet was torn , lamp covers all ripped off , floor was so dirty and filthy . I left a day earlier than my check out This hotel needs to be out of buisiness I trust Expedia I am using for years . Now I am scared !

First room they gave me the restroom area wasn’t stocked or cleaned at all but they were quick to fix there mistake so I appreciate my stay and gave me another room housekeeping came and offered help cleaning early

Room floor was not clean. Room in general smelled rancid. Had to call front desk to due to fixtures not working. Shower head was spraying water onto the ceiling. Sheets was stained pillows had not pillow cases on them.

The room was dirty, I had to pay 15 dollars to park for an already expensive hotel room that was gross, very limited breakfast options, the room didnt feel clean at all, soap was empty for the shower, they gave key cards to people to a room that was occupied, have no extra bedding. Everybody at the hotel complained about it being dirty. The only good thing about the hotel is its beachfront. Do NOT recommend!!

Property around the hotel was a complete mess burnt down building front completely sectioned section off by fence made the view of the ocean horrible rooms and themselves were clean, but completely outdated beds we’re comfortable but hotel ran out of towels. We’re not able to get clean ones. The pool itself was completely a mess. Safety rails were coming out of the ground and pool was green and unclean. I had to do a load of laundry in the guest facilities. clothes were left in the dryer for about an hour come to find out. It was the manager‘s wife doing laundry in the guest facilities while she was manning the desk talk to another guest. She told me that the manager‘s wife who actually worked the desk, left her clothes in the washing machine for about two hours, was unable to do any laundry because of unable to use Guest facility laundry had to go to a laundromat I got tired of waiting for her to come out and remove her clothes from the dryer so I put a towel on top of the dryer and laid the clothes out after I did this, she came out and completely irately. Got mad at me for touching her laundry now I understand this, but why is she using the guest facilities to do her own personal laundry while she’s at work, I was very upset about she said very many rude like where the rest of her laundry was, I explained to her I had no idea what she was talking about, and she walked off in a huff. Also, the shower pressure was horrible and there was no soap or shampoo in the dispensers.

Due to the things I have described above which I did not like I refused to stay and I informed Expedia right away as I had booked through Expedia. I did not get any help from Expedia and the worst part was that Expedia had a deceptive commercial for the Wyndham property. Expedia sent me an email with the confirmation of booking for the Hotel at Wingate by Wyndham is confirmed which in fact is not a Hotel but a MOTEL. On Expedia website the picture of the room that I selected is completely the opposite of what I encountered when we walked in. Terrible condition. Expedia should be ashamed of this deceptive advertising. I sent Expedia all the pictures of the real world out there of this property and they should be able to see them and then they should show the pictures to the future guests.

Hotel charged $15/night parking that I wasn’t aware of. Lobby backed up upon arrival. We had a 2 night stay and room was not cleaned nor did we have proper bedding and sanitary items for the shower.. when I brought it to their attention they gav3 small bar soaps and a sheet because they had no more blankets. Door was hard to open and just over staff seemed like they didn’t know how to run a hotel. Sad excuse for a Wyndham property. I expected better.

The Hotel is Old and outdated, it smelled like humid, the entry key didn't work, he told the front desk people , and they came over and said that we had to try to insert the card several times doing this rapidly to make it work " ....so it was a hassle every day trying to get into our room, we were very disappointed, the swimming pool wasn't in service, due to some construction on the site, the hotel didn't post that update on their website, so we couldn't use the swimming pool during our stay, we don't recommend to book this hotel , I think it's pricey for what they offer, not pleasant at all

The price per room was outrageous, Too noisy. Did not have my handicap room so I had to be put in a reg room that did not fit my wheelchair which caused me to crawl into the bathroom. No extra toilet paper. I was told by manager I should of called for some but the phone in room did not work. What a disaster for me.

It was very disappointing. It was a struggle to open the door everytime. The bathroom door sticks. Hard to open and close. The walls in the room were dirty and possibly moldy. The swimming pool was green. We will not go ba k there! It was aweful! And they charge extra to park.
