"I was highly disappointed when I arrived. The lobby was chaotic and extremely hot. There seemed to be some confusion about some rooms that a bus load of people were having regarding their reservations. I stood in line and waited patiently as both front desk people were trying to resolve the issue. Once I was checked in, I went to my room (147). "The place is definitely run down, but seemed clean enough. The air conditioning in the room was super loud-lots of rattling. The tv remote didn’t work (neither did the room phone), but the girl from the front desk came to replace the remote. The room didn’t have any towels. When I went down to ask for one, I was told they didn’t have any clean. I had to specifically ask for a washcloth or paper towels to be able to dry my hands. It was fine for a one night stay."

"We had a great stay here. It is a breathtaking property! I live in New Orleans and have never seen this much Spanish Moss in my life. The finishes in the cabins are gorgeous and the little backyard with a hot tub and string lights was awesome. The resident outdoor kitties were the highlight, though!"
