"Walls were chipping paint. No elevator. Didn’t mention that in the Expedia description. Manager was difficult to coordinate access with after messaging several times the day before our arrival. Instructions were last minute on how to check in. Upon departure, I was messaged that I owed another $15 for a resort fee of some nature. Had no documentation to that affect. The location was good. "

"It’s a small little boutique hotel with about six or eight rooms on two floors. They are super nice and super well appointed with everything you need and a nearby grocery store and a laundromat which came in very very handy. There’s also a rooftop bar adjacent to the property, which has the best views in the city and good drinks at a reasonable price. Then it’s a short 3 minute walk downhill to the main drag where all the shops and people are. It’s obviously uphill back to the hotel but nothing...

"The location was perfect - right in the middle of Taormina. It is above a shop on the 2nd and 3rd floors. It was quiet and comfortable. We would stay there again. Marco gave us suggestions for restaurants, places to see and even found us Mass times for Palm Sunday. He was a good host. "

"Junior suite that wecwere in had a stupid shower unit placed in the middle, spilling water everywhere. Breakfast was fresh but outdoor service pitifully slow. Had to make a take-away arrangement with the helpful concierge to tie in with a taxi pick-up."

"The staff is very nice. Our room smelled funny. It was pretty hot in the room one of the days. We thought maybe it was because it was hot. We tried to turn the air conditioning on, but they have the air-conditioning shut off. The only option was heat. They told us to open the window. We were right by the street so that really wasn’t great but it was the only option. We realized the problem is actually that the bathroom smelled funky. If we kept the bathroom door closed all the time the room...

"You stay there because of the view and central location. Huge price tab of a Ritz or Four Seasons without the customer service.... Staff is not terribly helpful at times. We asked for a "Do Not Disturb" sign for bedroom several times. Crickets. We asked to change a large Euro bill. Crickets. We asked for a late checkout for one of our several rooms. Nope. But the view is stunning!"
