"Upon booking I received a message from the property saying that check in was between 2-10 pm and to get in contact with them if arriving outside those hours. Below was information on the bar. It said bar/kitchen CLOSED on Mondays. When I arrived on Monday at 4:30 pm, the bar was closed but there was noone to check in and receive the keys from. I understand now that if the bar is closed - there is noone AT ALL in the property, even between 2-10. I had to fish through the internet to find a...

"All excellent"

"Natalie was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, providing excellent recommendations and local information. Our room was spotless, and the entire estate was beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We felt very secure throughout our stay. The on-site parking, located behind secure electric gates, was particularly reassuring. Despite the area's narrow roads, access was straightforward, and the safety mirrors installed...

"We had a lovely meal in the restaurant but unfortunately the stay was less impressive. Having booked a room for 3 it was set up for 2 with just 2 towels, 2 mugs, 2 glasses and 1 tea bag. At breakfast we waited 50 minutes for our cooked breakfast with no apology or explanation. When it finally arrived we asked if we could have some toast with it only to be told that they do not do toast with the English Breakfast! The tea was lukewarm and had to be returned and the 'fresh' orange juice was...

"Ganz wunderbares altes Pub, sehr authentisch, hervorragendes Frühstück. Einziges Manko war tatsächlich dass wir in der große Hitzewelle im Juni dort waren und natürlich diese alten Häuser nicht klimatisiert sind. Es war sehr heiß und der kleine Ventilator im Zimmer konnte dagegen kaum etwas ausrichten."

"Absolutely fantastic stay in a lovely cosy pub. Staff could not have been more helpful. The room we stayed in was amazing add to this the fantastic food and atmosphere and it all adds up to a memorable stay. We will be back again."

"Very happy with everything"

"Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. "
