"The hotel was clean and okay. The rooms and hallways are dated and need an update. The front office staff were not very helpful and abrupt. Breakfast was good. Stayed only one night."
"Room was mostly clean apart from some age related marks in the room. Had a full kitchen although no appliances worked which is fine but a fridge would had been useful. No plug sockets near any mirror so my over half had to straighten her hair over the kitchen sink where there was a Mitton and use the coffee machine plug.
Pool wasn't heated so wasn't usable. Paid for full English breakfast but all drinks I.e orange juice or coffee were chargeable. Of the two restaurants only one was open for...
"The main house looks lovely but don’t be fooled. First room in the Waterhouse was a disaster the stench was awful! Mould and damp. Room was swapped but not much better, dirty and damage to the walls.
The staff are just rude and unhelpful. Asked where breakfast was, directed to the main house. Stood for 10 mins being ignored by staff so approached a lady and asked, got barked at ‘we open at 7:30!’ Ok no one informed me and only asked if I could get a coffee as there was nowhere else to have one...

Coffee at breakfast wasnt very nice . Hot food bland tomotoes were hard. Continrntal was very good. Table service for hot food is better. Spa manager a lovely lady does her job very well . Bed super comfy . Nice selection of teas and biscuits. A fridge should be in the room especially for a premium room .
Service at the bar on one occasion was very dlow i had to ask to be served after waiting 10 mins.
I wull definitely return as it is so peaceful and...
