Staff was very helpful and personable. Great location, close to great food, monuments and ghost tours. Breakfast was also a very nice plus. Overall very pleased with our stay.

The room was clean, the breakfast are cooked on property and tasted good. Fresh coffee and pastry are available, as well as snacks. The property is located in a wonderful area that makes it a short walking distance to a lot of amenities. The room staywas quiet and spacious.

This is more like a bed and breakfast experience than a hotel. It had a convenient location, walking distance to restaurants. Despite its location on a busy street, it did quiet down at night. It was quieter there than most other locations I've stayed nearby. Plus, you didn't have people stomping in and out and making a lot of noise at all hours of the night. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was great (although could have been served earlier.) I will likely stay again if there is availability next time I'm in town.

I've never been to a bed and breakfast. The couple that run this one are wonderful people and very kind. Breakfast was excellent and they were very considerate.

Likes: Historic building provides sense of what Gettysburg was like in Civil War era. Dislikes: Operators seemed inexperienced on how to please guests. (1) breakfast was offered ONLY from 0900-1000 with no guest menu provided in advance as their server would determine what was to be served the next morning; (2) asked to adjust bedroom temperature, but was told owners do not permit that; (3) bed appeared made up by a child; (4) two TV controllers were provided, but w/o instructions, we could not watch the TV. Let me offer that the lodging price was reasonable for this VERY historic area and so perhaps I expected more than I should have...

My husband and I were supposed to stay on main floor, my husband uses a cane. We were told that's not in use. A couple of months ago it was and had a good review. Said TV's were broken, no TV in room. Asked to have a bigger room, not possible. We were the only guests that night. Lumpy bed, only one chair in room to sit except bed. Disappointing stay.

Other than being handed the wrong key while checking in and almost being locked out of the room for the evening, it was a lovely stay and the day staff were great. They really should have a back up service at night for incidentals like pipes bursting, power outages or when the ghost cat is on a tear.

The only thing good was the bed was Comfortable and then it goes downhill. When we checked in the desk area was so cluttered and not clean then we went to our room— the rugs were clearly not swept in days maybe weeks and the toilet was “clearly” not clean. I ask them to have it cleaned and swept and they were very rude and said we didn’t dirty it!!! Then on to the dining room where you are to eat breakfast. It was to say the least filthy!!! The hallway entry was filthy. The same leaves and dirt remained through our 5 day stay. NO cleaning was done!! There is a very Small ice machine that doesn’t have enough ice for one small bucket. Breakfast was Ok at best. If you can stand to eat in the filth. If you want TV you have to hotspot your phone for service and stream your own channels. We will NOT return here. I have photos of the dirt and dead plants. Forgot to take one of the gross cigarettes in buckets outside the door that are never cleaned. The Farnsworth Inn is superior to this. If I had to stay here again I would not visit Gettysburg.
