"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tickled Trout. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. Our room was lovely . It was really warm when we were there as it was in the middle of a heatwave. We took a fan with us although they did say there were some available. There was a small window in our room which looked out onto a fairly busy road so could be quite noisy if window was open. "I felt comfortable as a solo traveller. But then it was my home town for nearly 40 years. However staff fantastic. I didn't check in until quite late in the day, and was told my room would be in the 1st not grounds floor which I had asked for. But the reason was the lock on my ground floor was playing up and needed a repair.
