"Staff were so friendly! I was half an hour early for check in and only came in to ask about the car if I could leave it there to grab some lunch but they allowed me to check in early and sign the tablet for my car! I will definitely be coming again. Breakfast was lovely too. Taking the order whilst going in to grab some continental. Very quick service with hot food."

"The hotel was super as usual. The menu in the restaurant however was limited. I would have liked to see a cold option in this heat wave. I did have to phone down to reception at 01:30 due to a party going on in a room next door. It was however dealt with swiftly and this was outwith the hotels control. Room was clean, good selection of tea's in the room with nice biscuits and hot chocolate too. Staff were professional and helpful."

"It is convenient to park your car at this inn. Highland Gate is not the inn but the the restaurant. The Highland Gate restaurant and Marton's Inn are in two separate buildings. The inn's outside apearance and inside conditions are quite mediocre: carpet in the hallway looks dirty at every entrance to the room; there is no rack or shelve for suitcases though the room size is decent; the bathroom has a peculiar smell (not stinky but unpleasant to me), and the double bed (made of two single beds)...

"A lovely little hotel slightly off the beaten track but within easy distance of Stirling and main routes to the highlands. Beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast. The pub food is really good too should you need lunch or dinner. It was quite warm and humid when I visited with no a/c, although hotel provided a fan, which was helpful. It’s located at a busy intersection, so there is traffic, but given that it’s located in the country, there is still a sense of peace about it. Highly recommend."

"We had a very enjoyable stay at the Scone Arms. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and the improvements already completed look fantastic. Our room had been fully renovated and was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The bar area has been completely updated and has a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. "We were passing through staying 1 night only but the lady in the nightshift was so kind and helpful despite our latenight checkin time. She quickly made sure our sofa beds were setup in all the rooms so me and my family could get a goodnights rest. Breakfast was a decent spread with a lovely coffee machine."

We booked a basic room but there was no shelf in the en-suite to put your bathroom bits and pieces on. There was only one chair but we chose a basic room to keep costs down. Overall we had a very pleasant stay."
