"Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub. Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit. "

"Clean Room, excellent reception staff when checking in. Good facilities but a mini fridge in the room would be good and body lotion. Female single traveler (business) felt safe, "

"There was rubbish under one of the side tables and the head boards were disgusting, the kettle would not click off unless switched off at the wall. Blinds were broken and the walls were badly in need of paint. The water did not get hot out of the tap. Staff were nice, but room was not worth the money, and breakfast consisted of a loaf of bread and a coffee machine."

"The hotel is undergoing a total refurb after being used to house migrants for the last few years building work was still under way whilst the stayed at the hotel . The hotel is being refurbished to a standard and is clean and tidy , food and overall service levels in the bar area need attention . Perfect place for a 1 night business trip with a good gym and pool "

"When we got there it turned out it was wrong hotel in grassington it was for the same hotel but in Cheshire. Same photo on advert just different area , staff there said it happens a lot. Very disappointed that this happens on a daily basis. This also happend to two of our friends who stayed here on same day and they ended up paying extra 100.00 for another room .
