"Room was decent size and clean. The hotel is right near the trains station so convenient to transportation. There's also a street with a ton of restaurants two blocks away. Very easy to walk to.
Go up to the workout center at the top of the hotel, even if you don't work out, for a great view of the city skyline.
And here's the best part, Try the dinner buffet at least once. It's THE BEST of any hotel buffet that we have eaten at and we travel a lot. For the inexpensive price you get really amazing gourmet food! And for those who drink, unlimited beer on tap! :)
There were people who didn't stay at the hotel come to eat the dinner buffet. That tells you a lot!"
"This is an apartment that’s been converted into 15 rooms, each with its own private bathroom/toilet, and a tiny central shared kitchen that serves as the communal space.
The room has no outside window, which is not mentioned when booking. And the entire apartment/hotel has 4 windows in total (2 on each side of the halls). The kitchen has no window.
The only access to daylight is outside the apartment, either by exiting the building completely or going up to the rooftop.
There are two flights of narrow stairs/2 floors to carry luggage. I’m a woman size 39, and my feet were too big for the steps.
No closets, drawers, or shelves in a the room, just a bar that can hold about six simple hangers on each side.
The rooms are not soundproof, so you can hear everything happening in the hallways and the kitchen.
There are two mini-fridges for 15 rooms (no freezer), with one filled with milk, cheese, and water provided for free by the hotel. That leaves one fridge for all of the rooms. So there’s no real, long-term way to store and prepare your own food.
The shower is positioned directly above the toilet, as the bathrooms were reworked to fit into very small spaces. It’s fully functional, but you end up showering over the toilet, so the toilet paper gets wet. It would have been great to have a small upper shelf to keep it dry. I ended up wrapping it in a plastic bag as a workaround.
I believe it’s all about managing expectations, knowing what you’re booking."
"The hotel itself was great, I'd definitely recommend it, and I'll be going back, the surrounding area was a bit cluttered with trash, but it didn't matter the staff and hotel made up for that"
