"Fantastic, generous breakfast. Very kind, helpful man running the place. I enjoyed my camp, gay bedroom at the top of the house. All essentials were 5* clean, just a touch of dust on some decorative objects stopped full 5* rating re cleanliness from me. Lots of Art Deco, vedettes du cinema. Fun. Interesting. Other rooms, other styles. Felt appropriate for 1940's villa. Swimming pool was unexpected luxury. Would stay again. Loved it."

"Merci à Barbara pour son accueil chaleureux, le cadre était splendide, la piscine délassante, la chambre parfaite, petit déjeuner comme à la maison et, cerise sur le gâteau, la cuisine totalement équipée laissée en libre accès : on a pu laisser nos aliments au frais et nous cuisiner notre repas du soir ! Si on doit passer un week-end dans le sud ouest, on retournera avec plaisir à la chambre d'hôtes "les grands maîtres"."

"Grosse et très belle Bâtisse située en plein centre ville. Accueil très agréable, chambres charmantes, décoration des parties communes sympa. Nous n’en avons pas profité, mais le prix de la table d’hôtes est à prix très bas et fait maison, si on avait su, nous aurions mangé sur place. "If I could give more than five stars, I would. Château Hôtel Edward 1er is, without question, one of the finest places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The staff made us feel at home from the very first minute. The property is simply stunning. Rich in history, beautifully restored, impeccably maintained, and incredibly elegant, it perfectly blends luxury with authenticity. Everything is spotless, and even the signature scent throughout the hotel adds to the unforgettable experience. The grounds are magnificent. The gardens are beautifully kept, the swimming pool is peaceful and inviting, and every corner of the property reflects the care and attention devoted to maintaining this exceptional château. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the beautiful medieval village of Monpazier, with its charming market and picturesque streets just steps away. Private parking is convenient, making it an ideal base for exploring the region. Every detail exceeded our expectations. This is far more than a hotel—it’s an experience.
