"The hotel was like home from home, all members of staff made us very welcome and were exceedingly helpful. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed both the breakfast and evening meals, good ingredients beautifully cooked and the service was quick and attentive. Our holiday was mainly to visit gardens in the surrounding area,, five of which were within one hours drive = heaven. York’s Park and Ride was a 20 minute drive away and we spent a good few hours sightseeing and shopping,...

"Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. "The staff was very welcoming, especially the blonde woman on the front desk. She made our stay very memorable. The hotel itself was aesthetically furbished. Their spa facilities are impressive very modern and very relaxing. Paying for parking was the only issue. Other than that what a wonderful stay. Thank you"
