Hotel Motel 6 di Great Lakes

"The check-in process was OK due to some confusion about what ID they required. The room itself was clean. Although this is the third Motel 6 I have stayed in where the bathroom door has been fixed due to what looks like someone trying to break it down. The carpark isn't in the best condition. Also I stayed over a Saturday and Sunday and there were only a few spots left on the Saturday. Conveniently located to public transport to get into Downtown Chicago."

"Whereas my room was relatively clean ... the overall facility is in need of a major renovation."

"It was worth what i needed, clientele seemed a little sketchy. Appears a lot of the rooms are long term rentals, I only needed 2 nights so it was ok and local for my needs. However if i was on a long vacation I would not recommend. Room were ok, not the most updated and definitely not the cleanest, no fridge or microwave. Front desk was mostly polite and helpful so that was a plus, and allowed me to have my dog. Not a bad stay but surely not a high class resort."

"I will never return to this hotel. I was disgusted when we entered the first hotel room the air conditioner didn’t work then when we got a new room there was someone else’s hair in the bathtub and the room just reeked of smoke. I had to go buy an air freshener, and that still didn’t help the TV only partially worked and we had someone come in and look at it and then in the middle of the night it died."

"the room was clean, tv worked but hdmi did not and while the staff did what he could helping to figure it out and even checked different rooms to see if the tv could connect to hdmi. it did not! which was disappointing but the effort was there and i can respect that."
