"We stay at this hotel often, and do so because we love the service and amenities. The renovation has been a great improvement. We are platinum Expedia members and when we asked if an upgrade was available (per our tier level), the receptionist confirmed available rooms (as did their website), however when the hotel manager came over she told us it needed to be pre-approved by Expedia, I enquired with Expedia who disagreed and tried to contact the manager directly and she cancelled their call...
