Pretty good value for the price we paid. It's not the newest or nicest hotel, but it's pretty good. It was clean, the staff were helpful, and the location is fairly central. The hotel is a little dated (hence 'Heritage') and there were some quirks with the bathroom (it's one of those where the 'shower curtain' is just a piece of plastic that covers only half the extent of the tub, which makes it extremely easy for water to get all over the floor and you need several towels to dry it up). We also had quite a big step from the tub down the floor. The plugs everywhere in the room (except in the bathroom) are very low to the ground, which made it tricky to use a converter block for charging devices, but we still made it work. The bed was quite comfortable (softer than most beds I experienced around NZ) which I appreciated. While we heard other people here or there (walking above us or in the hallway), it was overall very quiet and we got good sleeps here.
I didn't really use the amenities much but the pool and gym area looked great. Nice views from up there.
