"An Unexpectedly Wonderful Stay
Our stay at the Municipal Hotel was completely unexpected, but what a lovely surprise it turned out to be.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The doorman greeted us warmly, followed by a lovely welcome from the reception team. We were then personally shown to the lift, which was a really thoughtful touch and immediately gave us the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble.
Our room was an accessible room, and we were really impressed with how spacious and well laid out it was. There were clear, uncluttered areas and a fantastic walk-in shower, making the room both comfortable and practical.
One of our favourite touches was the turn-down service. Coming back to the room in the evening to find everything beautifully prepared, with ambient music playing, created such a lovely atmosphere and made the stay feel that little bit more special.
We also ate in the hotel on our first evening, choosing from the Time to Dine menu, and the food was wonderful. It was the perfect way to start our stay and meant we didn’t need to venture out after travelling.
Breakfast the following morning was excellent. There was a fantastic choice of continental options, alongside a cooked-to-order breakfast — and the quality and choice were just perfect. There was something for everyone, and everything felt fresh and beautifully presented.
