The property was lively and the staff was very friendly. The food was good as well. The only problem with the property is the beach. It was small and had a large rock across most of the length. Very little room to swim. Not enjoyable. But the available pools were vert nice.

We arrived at the property to be shown to 2 smelly/damp/musky rooms. We complained and after 2 hours were given 1 alternative room. The other room could not be changed. They offered 2 other rooms during the week which both stunk. Food was hit and miss.

Good, not bad, not great. Location was nice, service and staff were friendly. Lots of amenities. The restaurants and food truck were really good. Some areas around the resort are starting to show the age and could use some renovations. The buffet is very limited and repetitive although you will likely find something good. The breakfast buffet I skipped all together. Biggest con would be the extreme difficulty of finding water. The couple 300ml bottles they give you is not enough for anyone. Finding water especially after 10-12 is like looking for gold.

Front desk- very slow… rooms aren’t ready! Many employees standing around…. Need to help the guests…. Get into their rooms asap… resort was clean but trash and dishes … left around! Little things make the difference …. Trash etc no excuse for that all around property… also had room w private pool came back from excursion and employees children were in our swim up pool and didn’t leave when we cane back! staff is friendly drinks at the mix bar were delicious! Didn’t have a bad drink! Wish we had more access to all restaurants around property! Cleaning of the rooms well done. Restock of fridge everyday was great too!

Overall it was not a pleasant experience from the minute we checked in. I was abandoned during the check in for thirty minutes. When the clerk came back the apology was not acceptable and offered nothing to smooth it over. I hoped that would be it and could move on but turned out that was only the beginning. The 80% of the staff was miserable and could care less about the guest experience, not even a smile. There were about 6 or 7 employees that were excellent but that’s it. Food was what you would expect for an all inclusive, mediocre buffets, and restaurant reservations were a battle. Only way we were able to get reservations at 6pm, I have 2 toddlers, is an Expedia rep helped us with the reservations. My child had an accident in the bed and called housekeeping to change the sheets at 4pm. After 4 phone calls over a 6hr period, they were finally changed at 10pm, 3 hrs after bedtime. I even went to the front desk and spoke to the manager and he was very dismissive and didn’t seem to care. For the money we paid, I expected quite a bit more and would say that the reviews I read don’t seem to line up with my stay. I would never recommend this as a vacation spot.

Our stay at this resort was absolutely amazing! The service was exceptional, the food was amazing the staff were warm and attentive, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. It truly felt like a perfect getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

The drive to the hotel is a little over an hour from UVF (Hewanorra International Airport). St. Lucia is a small island (about 27 miles), so you really see a lot of it on your ride. This mattered, because we didn't feel the need to leave the property. We had 5 days at The Royalton, and had a great time. If we return, we will take advantage of the excursions and maybe a half day in the capital. The food was pretty fantastic. Normally, buffets are a crapshoot at all-inclusives, but we loved our breakfasts, lunches, and dinner there. For restaurants requiring reservations, we tried Calypso (delicious), Zen (hibachi - so much fun), and Hunter (steakhouse - excellent). I will say that it was not easy to make reservations, and if we did not have our Expedia concierge, I don't think it would have happened. The prevailing thought was that everything was easy - easy to get lounge chairs by the pool or beach, easy to get free snorkels and towels, easy to get food... The resort did not feel crowded at all, even though they told us they were fully booked. We loved that. And, even our return to the airport - no traffic, simple check-in (completely empty), Priority Lounge. We will definitely return!

The rooms were a little dated, but clean. Beds were comfortable and we enjoed the swim up room. We did have difficulty booking dinner reservations. You can't book a reservation without a room number, but don't receive the room number until check-in. By that time the only times available were after 9:00. The lunch/dinner buffet was not great food was often cold or dried out. The spirts bar food was also not great and they were out of the two thjngs we actually wanted. The breakfast buffet was good as was the breakfast at Grazie, but they were only open for breakfast one day during our stay.. We really enjoyed the a la carte restaurants for dinners, especially Hunters and Zen, just wish we had been able to get an earlier reservation. We wound up missing a lot of the evening entertainment because we were eating. Drinks were a little weak as expected at an all inclusive. The staff was hit or miss on the friendliness factor. Although some did go over and above, especially Brendan and the Dips swim up bar. He was amazing 11/10 customer service with a smile. He made sure everyone was taken care of and enjoying themselves. The spa staff was friendly and provided excellent services.
