This is a wonderful hotel in one of the most beautiful places in the world. You're steps away from the HR Giger Bar & Museum, Castle Gruyeres, restaurants, and little shops. It's amazing. And breakfast was so good.

An adorable hotel with excellent views of the Swiss countryside. It was just off of the main streets of Gruyere and the room was cozy and comfortable. The on-site restaurant was also the BEST place in town to get an authentic fondue.

Very rustic but comfortable, lovely views and good service. The restaurant next door however, did not feel as welcoming and offered a very limited menu.

Nice place to stay

I t was a very nice place near a beautiful medieval town. The room was a little small. It could have used a power strip as there were only a few outlets. But the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Gruyeres is an amazingly beautiful area. We understood the age of the hotel might prohibit Air Conditioning but it was OK. The help up front was new, I'm hoping all the figures are correct with the reservation! Such a beautiful city and valley!

Charming hotel, great stay!

Reception was very nice & helpful. The hotel is lovely, charming and clean. Comfortable bed, kettle and mini fridge provided in room. We stayed the end of June and a fan was provided which was nice due to no air cooling. Our room, on the 2nd floor, had a view of the mountains in the back of the hotel and was very quiet. Limited electrical outlets for charging electronics, not a criticism, just an observation. Easy access to bus drop off and peaceful location at the end of the town.

Adorable!! From the amazing view out my window to the wonderfully nice people at reception this is a must stay if you come to Gruyeres! Room was extremely clean. Bathroom has a nice deep tub. Splurge and get the Mountain View- its amazing. The woman who does the breakfast made me the most wonderful cappuccino. Walk to the little town and castle in less than 5 minutes. Only 10 minute walk from the train (or take a bus). Would definitely recommend!

We arrived at 8.30 pm. We contacted the hotel before we arrived as were worried that we might miss the 8pm check in time and our email was promptly answered and we were reassured that there was provision for this. We had quite a long walk uphill to the hotel which is well positioned just below the medieval town but if you arrived before 6pm there is a bus service up to the public car park near the hotel. We had a two night stay and our room was very traditional, small but comfortable with a decent bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we had a lovely view out of the window. We hadn't booked breakfast but were able to take it for the two mornings and just pay at reception on checkout. There was a good set of choices for the breakfast and helpful staff. There was a nice balcony to eat breakfast on but unfortunately it wasn't quite warm enough for us on the days we were there. We could also have eaten other meals at the adjacent hotel restaurant. As already stated the hotel is very well appointed to easily walk up into the medieval village and there are some lovely walks around. The walk down to the station and cheese making experience attraction is quite easy with good views to the surrounding countryside. Entry was free with our Swiss pass and we found it very interesting. There area also busses from the station into the nearby town of Bulle.
