"I stayed in a cottage in Shambala Estate on a relaxed drive up to Cairns from Melbourne with my two dogs. It was simply beautiful. When I opened the door it smelt great, there was soft music playing and it looked gorgeous. My stay was relaxed and comfortable in a beautiful and clean room. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend."

"Location was great for what we wanted. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment, which was a decent size. Looking out into a busy road was entertaining but, as expected, quite noisy at times. Walking distance to shops and great dining precinct was the overall win for us. Cleanliness could be improved as too tired furniture, including one of the beds, very worn carpet and a second fridge because one wasn’t fully working… I’m glad I got a good deal on price."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Meriton Suites Southport. It was our home away from home for a week, and it was well worth the extra $$ to get the ocean view balcony suite. The suite was pristine clean, the bed was super comfortable, we loved the kitchen (had everything you need), laundry facilities, etc. There is a Woolworth's Metro downstairs and Sens Coffee as well had phenomenal food and coffee. "We were very disappointed with our stay.
Firstly, the apartment itself was not as clean as we expected, which was disappointing from the beginning.
Secondly, we were extremely disappointed with the condition of the swimming pool. We travelled from Melbourne, and one of the main reasons I chose this accommodation was because it had a swimming pool for our children to enjoy during our stay.
Unfortunately, on both Friday and Saturday, our children were unable to use the pool because it was dirty...
