"The couch bed in the corner room was very hard and uncomfortable. A rollaway might have been better. We loved the pool area, but we were there Monday-Wednesday, and there were no chairs by the pool that had shade. In order to get shade, you had to pay a ridiculous amount to reserve a cabana, which came with pool chairs. We only saw about two families/couples using these cabanas, while multiple chairs were empty with umbrellas over them. We did ask Abigail on Monday if we could have an umbrella moved over, and she got permission for us to move to chairs by the cabana closest to the open completely sunny area around 2:30. On Tuesday, another pool waitress said no around 3:00 to an elderly couple who needed shade, even though only two were occupied. After I argued, she went and asked permission from a manager, who allowed them to sit under the umbrella. This is ridiculous! There should be some chairs with umbrellas for people not using cabanas. I understand for summertime on weekends, but this is fall on weekdays! The pool bar staff and coffee shop clerk were awesome!"

"Great stay, especially for the VERY reasonable price. Well maintained, even the parking lot was clean! Breakfast was good and the little cafe food wasn’t bad. My only complaint is that the bottled water sold at the little ‘store’ was Fiji at $4.50 a bottle! The local water has high sulphur which tastes nasty if you are not used to it. They need to stock a more reasonably priced bottled water! So I advise guests to source their bottled water outside of the hotel."

"Beautiful historic hotel in French Quarter. Staff are fantastic. I stayed on 6th floor in King Size room. It was large and clean. Only recommendation would be to add a chair and a desk or table."
