"Stayed at APA Hotel Niigata Furumachi and the experience was disappointing mainly because of the bed quality. The mattress was extremely soft and badly worn out, sinking deeply in the middle until it felt like we were touching the bottom of the bed frame. It was very uncomfortable and made it difficult to get proper rest. When we requested to change rooms or a topper, a senior lady staff member informed us that all the beds in the hotel were the same, so no alternative solution was offered. While the location of the hotel is convenient and the room was generally clean, the poor mattress condition seriously affected our stay. Would only recommend this hotel if you do not mind very soft and worn mattresses."

One of the highlights was the complimentary hot spring bath and free supper at night, which made the experience feel extra welcoming after a long day out. The staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided, including toiletries and comfortable sleepwear. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I would definitely continue staying with Dormy Inn whenever we travel to Japan."

"The location was really good, close proximity to Niigata Station. The room and bathroom is your typical average size Japanese hotel room and combo bathroom. When we stayed in early March the hotel’s AC system was programmed to heater only which was too warm so we had to turn it off and keep the window cracked open for air. The area is not very noisy even at night so that was a plus. Breakfast was a highlight of this hotel and that made up for the other shortcomings. The selections were plentiful and they had food offerings that were specialties of Niigata."
