"Tucker away behind a beautiful lawn with cool sculptures, the Hana lodge was a great one nite retreat after hiking the Tongariro crossing. Hot tub and sauna appreciated and a gourmet 3 course meal was amazing! Thank you to the lovely staff!"

Lodge is a little dated but it’s huge with plenty of activities from a pool, snooker/pool table, gym, gaming devices, tennis courts and extensive grounds. Location is handy to main highways, some of the key attractions and only 20 mins into central Rotorua. Would definitely stay here again."

"This was a wonderful accommodation. My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. The views were incredible. Sadly it rained a lot so we didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Star the manager could not be any nicer. Anything we wanted she was there to get it for us. Our rooms were cleaned daily and amazing snack drawer was filled. Refrigerator was filled with drinks and replenished daily. Breakfast was made to order and was delicious. Much better than standard continental breakfasts normally...

"I would highly recommend staying here. Very friendly staff, the room was comfortable with a fantastic view of the lake, and great ammenities such as the lakeside hot tub, swimming dock and kayaks. The breakfast was also great. Fluffy eggs and a selection of other tasty items. Quiet and relaxing!"

"One of the closet in kitchen smells strange, no kitchen paper, the table set, especially the chairs are a bit too old, the surface of the chairs are peeling that we dare not to sit on. Staff don't tell us the hot water spa actually power off after 9pm that we could not use it. Other wise it is a very good stay, quite new bathroom, soft and warm bedding, staff are very polite, night time are very quiet..."

"The unit were clean, in good condition, and the beds were comfortable. Instant coffee, teabags, sweeteners, and milk were available in the room along with an electric kettle. Check in and out was simple and quick. We would stay here again."

"It was a good deal for a night. The room was clean but the door to the bathroom was not working and we had issues with the water as it started to get colder after every shower. Only some minor inconvenience but it was a really good stay. Will book again if we see in the area again.👍"

"We traveled from the USA and this was our first stop. We loved it! Yes your patio smells like sulfur sometimes, but that’s to be expected when staying right next to the active geothermal lake. They were very helpful and responsive to all our questions/requests. The breakfast had a great variety and the quality of food, juice, and drinks was truly surprising. The room was very clean, the parking was very convenient."
