Offered us a welcome drink which was lovely and we could use our rooms to drop our items as they had already been cleaned which was very helpful as we were in the area for a wedding. "A bit surreal, the place was devoid of staff, night or day! The room was clean but tiny and very sparse of comfort, which is OK for one night but does not match the price. Also the name Airport Lodge is deceptive, it is 10' ride by taxi and that was 16 pounds. The following day i tried the local bus but it came 45´ late. At least, it was only 2 pounds. "

"I stayed here one night before an early flight from stanstead. The hotel is conveniently located about 5 min drive to the airport. The chap at front desk was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were both clean as was the shower. The room had tea making facilities and a hair dryer. The bed was not so good very bumpy, you could feel the springs, and parking is not free as stated I was charged £6. 50. Overall ok for a one night stay. "
