"My family stayed for one night over Mother’s Day weekend. After checking in, we noticed what appeared to be blood on the wooden blinds/shutters in our room. It was visible in several places, including the handle used to adjust the blinds and on the blinds themselves. Before dinner, I spoke with the front desk and requested that the issue be cleaned. "We only stayed one night so really didn't have a full experience. It was clean, looked like was recently upgraded. I would've liked a privacy window treatment on the street side. Like a darkening on the windows themselves, but allows you to see out, but not in. The drapes offered that, so we kept the windows closed. Nice to have a small refrigerator, small microwave, coffee maker. There were 2 buttons on the microwave that was kind of worn off from use, so you couldn't see what the buttons...

"We had a great stay at the San Simeon Lodge! The front desk staff was incredibly enthusiastic and accommodated our early check-in seamlessly. Our room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic ocean view. A huge bonus was that they are pet-friendly, allowing us to bring our dog for a small fee that we were willing to pay ($25 per night).
