"Self checkin was amazing and the Staff are helpful"

"The snug was immaculate however we were unable to regulate the heating. In spite of turning all visible controls off, the heat was unbearable to the point we had to open the door at 4am."

"Well when we checked in we were informed that they were having a high school prom that night. “But done worry it will be done by 11” we were unable to enjoy the restaurant, bar or beautiful grounds do to screaming teenagers all over the place. I booked this room 6 months ago as a surprise for my husband. We go to bed early due to having an early day. We could hear the thumping music thru the walls. Very disappointed! Other guest were also very upset. They should have contacted us to let us know...

Einziger Mangel, die Toilettenspülung, eine Zumutung. Nicht effektiv und egal ob mit oder ohne Behinderung, eine Herausforderung. Das Hotel ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, würden es wieder buchen."

"The actual room was fairly clean with a decent shower and toilet and good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. Quite a bit of traffic noise from the main road. The building and surroundings are very run down, I wasn't even sure the pub was open to go in and collect the key as the windows had bars on them and the hanging sign was empty. Needs a bit of a paint job. Parking was dodgy, surrounded by bins, rubbish and just not very clear where to park."

"Great check in staff the bar kitchen area was really not kept clean & tidy it was busy but it seemed no one was clearing tables Only 1 bar tender Food was awful reheated tough fries and my burger was very tough it seemed like it had been deep fried"

"This was the best place we have ever stayed. One of the owners of this converted bank building greeted us personally and made us feel very welcome. The room and property were top notch. The location is amazing. There is so much to see here. Literally in direct sight of the Linlithgow Palace and church. An absolute dream of a place to stay. We cannot wait to come back! We are including some great pictures of the Linen Bank Residence building from the outside, as well as one with the view...

"Great place to stay if visiting Edinburgh. House very traditional and clean. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, always checking to make sure you’re ok. Beds super comfy, immaculate clean bedding, had a great two nights sleep. Really busy road outside but you cannot hear a thing inside once the windows are closed. So, so peaceful. Parking outside the house also was great. We will 100% be returning. A fab restaurant around the corner too. All in all 5* for sure."
