Milk stains on the furniture that had the tea facilities and generally not well cleaned. Bedding looked like it had been hurriedly thrown on, same with towels. Breakfast was really nice with friendly staff again. "

Accommodation is across the road from the pub and events so nice and quiet and a great space at the front of the building for a evening drink. Very interesting range of ales and other drinks in the pub and an excellent breakfast. "Clean and tidy, this Northern Quarter boutique hotel is a good alternative for a city centre stay with character. The room was compact but very tidy. The bathroom was cosy, with the shower being a little bit small, but all functional and full of charm. All in all an enjoyable stay."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Calf’s Head, Clitheroe. We attended a wedding at a venue not far from here, so it was a great location for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the downstairs bar/dining was an asset to our stay. We both enjoyed a lovely full English the morning after with the option of fruit, cereals and yoghurts. The outdoor space here is gorgeous so would definitely recommend going here to enjoy it on a nice day. The only criticism I can give is that the...

"Always a great stay because of the staff including Julie, Lawrence, Sean (the Boss man) and Liam (I hope I got the names right). But rooms are a little dusty and my mugs were both stained and needed replacing. Team makes this a place to come back to again and again."
