"We had a very nice stay at the Bru Guesthouse. The location is close to a lot of attraction but feels secluded, with a nice outdoor space and even a grill. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, with good bedding. The only issue was the check-in process. We spent a good 30 minutes after we arrived sitting in our car and trying to figure out how to access our place, because none of us received an email that should have provided the cabin number and door code (there were 2 separate reservations). We had to look up our reservations through hotels.com and send a message (and the response is it can take a couple days to respond). Eventually the owner waved us over to his house to give us the info, and said his emails are blocked. I can only imagine how confusing this must be if you arrive at night and in the dark."

"This might have been our favorite of the places we stayed in Iceland. Our room was very large and had everything we need. The kitchenette was great as was the bathroom. It is on an amazing property with a waterfall coming down a massive mountain right behind you. Their service was amazing and they even had treats available when we checked in."

"Centrally located clean, updated hotel with amenities for western travelers - hairdryer, washcloths, outlets for chargers, and small refrigerator. There is even a hot tub and sauna in the basement. Rooms were spacious. Staff very accommodating."

"I did not receive the email with check in instructions that Expedia said would come, but there was a sign on the door directing us to the hotel next door for questions and the woman at the front desk was one of the most pleasant people I have ever encountered and she straightened things out immediately.
