"Spacious apartment in great condition. Very quiet, nice view, great breakfast place nearby. "

"Stay in the two bedroom suite in July 2025. Everything is good. Check in was smooth. Unit is on second floor with no elevator so you need to carry the luggage’s up. Grocery and famous pizza place right cross the street. Used the kitchen to cook some simple breakfast. Also used the washer and dryer. Note it is a combo machine so you need to plan your loads accordingly. Unlike dryers in America it takes about two hours to finish one load but it does the job. "

"This was one of the largest rooms we had in Iceland. It's an entire apartment with a huge bathroom and beautiful walk in shower. The beds were so comfy. It had a full shower, dining room, living room and huge TV. The private patio had amazing views of the Black Sand Beaches. You can pull your car right up to your front door. It had a beautiful bar and restaurant on the property. It also had shampoo, conditioner and lotion! Rare find in Iceland hotels. Loved it so much!"

"Highly recommend The Black Pearl for so many reasons. This was one of the few places that would work for our family of 4. The kids are now adults and one is very very tall so a sofa bed wouldn’t work. The apartment we stayed in was one of the best we’ve used. "We stayed in a one-bedroom cabin and absolutely loved it. The room was spotless and cozy, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a brand-new couch and flat-screen TV, both of which looked older in the photos, so the upgrade was a nice touch. One of our favorite things was that the hot tub was always open. Sitting in it at 2 a.m. with nothing but quiet around was such a relaxing experience. "Great location close to rainbow street and other downtown points of interest. Clean, modern, nice appliances, comfortable beds. Good for a short stay with family. A little bit of noise from bars and downtown area at night, but wasn’t much problem for us on the 3rd floor. "

"The appartment was perfect for the 7 of us. We had the appartement on the top floor unfortunatelly with narrow staircases without a lift. That was the only negative aspect as we had to carry our bags all the way up."

"Wonderful! The apartment was spotless and well-appointed and the location could not be beat. Steps away from rainbow street, the cat cafe and the grocery store, it was basically a 5 minute walk to anywhere you wanted to be! We did not experience any super loud noise but it did get warm, something we were prepared for. Will 100% stay here on our next trip to Reykjavik."

"What a wonderful place to stay. You have in the background a cliff or rock with three waterfalls and you look out to the ocean ! We took advantage of the outdoor hot tub with the views. The room had three beds and a kitchenette. Very clean room. We were able to make some food and take advantage of the free lettuce from the garden and cakes made by the owner. There are also two lovely dogs always around on site. We definitely recommend. "
