"I LOVED Carol. She was welcoming and kind, made an amazing breakfast for me, answered all my questions. A great hostess. My room (12) was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows and extra blankets. Nice big TV. The water pressure was really low but I think that’s typical in older buildings. The garden was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine. Great stay. Traveled from Canada."

"We received a warm welcome when we checked in. Our room was spotless and had quality bed/bedding etc. Also had a spacious, well appointed bathroom. We had an excellent night's sleep. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast here. All the food was first class and everyone who served us was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...

The room was quite hot, even on a cool day, and were it not for the ability to open the window and use a fan (already in the room) it would have been very comfortable. "Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for. Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference."

Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!"
