"This is quite a basic hut, but fine if you are in backpacking or camping mode. Upside is that it's close to the watarase onsen which was lovely, and a short bus drive from ukegawa trail head. Note that the check in is at the public bath next door, "

"We had a very good night Sansuikan Kawayu Matsuya. They share hot springs and the restaurant with a nearby hotel. Hot springs are the absolute standout: fantastic! Food is good and plentiful. Our room had a brilliant view. All the rest is okay, although the exterior of the building is not nice."

You’ll enjoy a quality breakfast with live piano. Stop by the roadside station or a convenience store to buy some food because dining options are limited. "
