"I liked so much of it. Draw back for me as a 62 yr old woman travelling alone was the dining experience. Both at dinner and breakfast I was put in the middle of the room where I felt vulnerable. I did say something but they said it was what they had available. I did book a month or two ago so this wasn’t a last minute thing. "Excellent modern and spacious apartments with everything you need to self cater in lovely green surroundings. Can be tricky to get there, so need a car really but it’s a very comfortable stay. The main hall/bar is beautiful, especially when they have piano player on at weekends. Value for money, especially silly with midweek stays and we have stayed many times now. Have tried a massage in the cabin next to the swimming pool which was nice but yet to try the swimming po - aiming to do that next...

"Room was lovely, junior suite 64. Reception staff were very helpful, with requests for a fridge,a more comfortable chair for my husband, and sorting out tv. Breakfast was really nice. It was a shame weather could have been better, but did not stop us from going places. "

"Excellent room, we had an executive suite and the view was marvellous as was the huge four poster bed. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we've had, proper cumberland sausages - what can I say!. Staff were also excellent especially Joanne the manager who went above and beyond to make our 4 night stay very enjoyable. We had 2 meals in the hotel pub and again the food was of a very high standard, one meal was a sunday roast which I found absolutely superb. Will definitely stay here...

"We have been to Coniston before but this was our first stay at the Sun. It was fabulous! Pretty room, all the amenities we needed, spotlessly clean, breathtaking views. The staff were super friendly and efficient and the food was superb. We loved our stay and will definitely be back ❤️"

"The hotel is a very short distance from the M6, which makes it an ideal stop over. The accommodation was really comfortable with lovely restaurant and bar facilities.
