"Perhaps I made the wrong choice but I did not enjoy my night and left before my (paid for) second night. There was one light in the room, a table lamp that was damaged and could not be altered. There were supposed to be towels in the showers but they were face flannel sized. I am really not sure what the people running the facilities were trying to achieve, but it was uncomfortable and unpleasant. Never again."

"Lovely serene location near the canal and river (might get busy when the weather is good)..Lovely traditional spacious and comfortable rooms, in good clean condition. Communication before arrival excellent. We weren't able to use the spa bath as the plumbing currently needs re-doing to prevent leaks and there is no shelf to put the toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast isn't available at the restaurant currently but there is Toby Carvery or the cafe at Over Farm next door. Location is...

"Lovely setting. The scenery out our window was superb! We were there on a couple of the hottest days of the summer, and even though there is no air conditioning, our room had a big circulating fan which helped immensely. We liked the quiet, low-key atmosphere of the place. Very restful!"

"We had a lovely room which had a roll top bath in a very big bathroom Staff were friendly and the pub was relaxing. Breakfast was good to set you up for the day It was in a remote area so in the evening there wasn’t anywhere to walk to and other pubs were of driving distance not walkable.."

"Situated on the ground floor during a heatwave wasn’t great. We were left wondering if all the rooms in the hotel were full and perhaps they could have located us in a room with a window that opened. The young man who served us for the evening meal was very attentive and very polite which was nice to see. Not so the staff at breakfast."

"Probably one of my favorite UK stays. I booked the morning of as a bit of a spur of the moment decision. The price was absolutely fantastic, the room that I got could not be beat. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. Jess the supervisor was an absolute gem. The food is great, if I’m ever in the area again I will absolutely be staying here. "I was disappointed with our stay at Gloucester Robinswood Hotel. Check-in was very slow, and there were groups of teenagers hanging around the lobby which didn’t create the best first impression. Our room had no air conditioning, which was particularly uncomfortable during the 35°C heat. When I asked at reception for a fan, I was simply told they had all been distributed around the hotel, so there wasn’t one available. As our room was on the ground floor, we couldn’t safely leave the windows...

"Eckington Manor is a lovely hotel with very nice rooms, set in beautiful grounds, a short distance from Cheltenham. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As the hotel is a little remote, we decided to eat in the hotel. The food was excellent as was the breakfast. Would definitely recommend and will no doubt return if we are in the Cotswolds."

"We thought the breakfast buffet choices were limited, however the cooked breakfast was hot and plentiful. The staff were very efficient. Dinner was most enjoyable in a lovely dining room and the bar service was very good. Upon arrival we were given a room upgrade with a four poster bed, this was a lovely surprise. Parking was onsite without additional charge. If you are planning on walking the Malvern Hills this Hotel is in the perfect location."
