Barceló Bávaro Palace - All Inclusive

"First trip to the DR and I really enjoyed my stay at Bávaro Palace. The facilities are lovely, my room had a comfortable bed and a beautiful sea view. I would definitely stay Premium again. It included the restaurants, spa hydrotherapy and pool, plus the Pirates adult water park. The water park is small — more a pool with slides than a huge water park — but the water was perfectly warm, very clean and the slides were fun. The spa pool was also spotless. The main pool was clean enough but cloudy, so not quite what you expect. I enjoyed the buffet at the Sports Bar and Coral, and the Italian, French and Japanese restaurants were all very tasty. The Spanish restaurant looked beautiful, although I didn't have time to try it. The absolute highlight was Premium Check-In. Cristian Rodriguez and Wander Rodriguez were the best staff ever — I loved them! If you stay Premium, get Cristian as your guide; he is the best. And the toffee cappuccino at Premium Check-In is AMAZING — you will live on it! Unfortunately, the beach was a major disappointment. They really need to get rid of the seaweed. It was left to rot and stank to high heavens. The smell permeated back towards the buildings and was vile, so I didn't swim in the sea. Mosquitoes were also quite bad, and maids leave doors open while cleaning, allowing them into the rooms. Overall, a lovely resort and good value, with some exceptional staff, but the seaweed and mosquitoes seriously affected my experience."

"Our July 2026 Experience at Lopesan Costa Bávaro In July 2026, we traveled as a group of eight to Lopesan Costa Bávaro, and overall, our experience was outstanding. The only hiccup we experienced was some confusion regarding who was assigned to which room. Once that was sorted out, everything else was wonderful. The rooms were beautifully arranged, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. There was a great variety of food available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so there was something for everyone. Although reservations and dinner times at the private restaurants were somewhat limited, there was always plenty of food and drinks readily available throughout the resort. Be prepared for a lot of walking, as the resort is quite large. There is also plenty of poolside entertainment and partying if that is something you enjoy. Most importantly, the resort itself is beautiful. One thing I would strongly recommend is not allowing negative reviews to make your decision for you. If we had listened to all the negative reviews, we would never have chosen Lopesan Costa Bávaro—and we would have missed out on a wonderful vacation! Our group had a fantastic time, and we will most certainly be back!"

"About the property we like everything , specially the people that work in the Hotel . Thr only thing that we did not like was the experience with the person that work for Expedia selling the tour packages . We bought a tour , but the night before I had a very bad stomach ache and we have to cancel. Well , they did not refund our money , they kept my money and the excuse was those are the rules and that I was suppose to get a certificate from the clinic in the Hotel and pay $250.00 so they can reimburse me $162.00 , that is stupid . Anyway I WILL NEVER GOING TO USED EXPEDIA AGAIN . THANK YOU , SINCERELY EDGARDO ."

"Accueil chaleureux, ambiance festif, serveuse tres gentil. Staff au restaurant très à l écoute des besoins. Spécial tag aux animateurs Amara Shanty et Hottie qui savent mettre de l'ambiance à fond!! Spécial tag également à Yelitza Karen, nos serveuses préférées. Toujours souriantes serviables et chaleureuses. Et pour finir le coup de coeur de ma femme: Giovanni, le bareman qui a su concocter une boisson sans alcool qu elle a adoré tout au long du séjour et qui parlait français! Pour résumer, bel endroit, beau service, belle ambiance et le personnel rien a reprocher!"

"La atención fue la mejor del mundo. El cocinero del restaurante chino se llama Vladimir es súper buena persona. Los animadores son excelentes, la comida es de calidad y sobre todo sus piscinas y sus camas son muy buenas. El hotel me encantó demasiado. Volvería siempre."
