"Really nice trip, Resort has a nice relaxed vibe, good amenities, excellent beach, wonderful helpful staff. Suite have plenty of room for families. Although the bathroom and shower setups are a little awkward, because you need to step into main room out of shower, but we made it work. Our Beach attendant and bartender took care of us everyday, making sure we could relax, enjoy drinks and food right on the beach. Erik and Alexander were top notch, Rock Stars, they made us feel so comfortable and really took our vacation another level!! Thank you "

"The pool was large and nice - the only way to fully enjoy the resort is to enroll in Privilege - this is the first resort where I noticed a palpable difference between a "Privilege-type" program and staying there without one. The room was fine, bed comfortable - check in process was frustrating as room was not ready and they did not provide much information at all (again, b/c we were not in Privilege). Two restaurants require reservations but other 5 do not - however unless you go at 5:45 to be put on a list for later that night, you might not get in or you will eat late. "

"Got scared by some negative reviews and was very happy we didn’t listen, we had a great time and recommend it to our family. Food: I thought the food at the main buffet was alright but I think it just should’ve been a little warmer, but I had no issues with the taste or quality. The restaurant food was great and I really enjoyed the steakhouse and the French restaurant. My husband is still raving about the hibachi and he’s had the real thing in Japan! Funny enough I strongly preferred the food at the goldfish buffet over the main buffet, especially the grilled meats. If you have a sweet tooth like me any place to grab food at Lopesan will be paradise. The coffee at Bavaro was also excellent. Pools: Pools were amazing and loved the juice bar right by the main pool. Never had issues finding a chair by the pool or by the beach. My biggest complaint is that the pools close so early Room: There was a slight moist smell to our room but it wasn’t offensive and I really don’t think it was mold or anything like that. The room was beautiful and spacious and I loved the big private balcony with comfy outdoor seating. Service: the servers were not as smiley as I’m used to in Canada but they were always attentive kind and quick. I didn’t experience any wait times anywhere and I don’t really understand the complaints about the staff. Our room cleaning was a little inconsistent, sometimes our face towels or shower mat was not replaced but overall i thought it was fine."

"Toilet didn’t work, staff was slow to fix If you don’t have premium status, service is slow. College spring breakers could have been handled better, we were woke up every night at 2am with them screaming in the hallways. Check out desk clerk was rude"
