A friendly welcome. Beautiful cottage in a lovely garden. The cottage was very roomy, sitting area and separate bedroom. It is only a short walk to Main Street. Our host brought us breakfast next morning. It was a basket packed full with everything and the pancakes were warm and tasty. Loved all the special touches.

The Chalet at Mulberry Cottages had a "wow" factor. It was clean and beautifully furnished with delightful details. Maureen was a welcoming and generous host and her breakfast provisions, especially the"pancakes", were lovely. Able to accommodate three people, the single bedroom was small but adequate and comfortable. No complaints whatsoever.

Disclaimer: I did not actually stay at this property however, I would like to help inform future guests on my experience and forewarn about the limited check in hours. I was not able to check in to the B&B because my flight was changed and then delayed, and I arrived after 6pm and Maureen gave no back up options to check in after 6 pm. In fact check in hours are very limited (only between 2 pm - 6 pm). I arrived on site and called Maureen twice but she marked me as a no-show. I traveled to 4 B&Bs during my time in Australia which all provided an alternative option to get keys to the room after reception hours (and all reached out to me with plenty of communication in a timely fashion not the day of my arrival), but instead Maureen scolded me for not reaching out to her, she blamed me repeatedly for not communicating with her and spoke to me condescendingly when I offered recommendations on sending auto-messages to guests in the future. I would not recommend this accommodation because Maureen has poor communication and customer service, and has no empathy on the traveler who may run into unpredictable travel changes. She was also unwilling to take advice so I could help prevent this happening to future guests. I was told "not to tell her how to run her business". I have never been talked to so disrespectfully before!

This property was amazing from check-in to checkout. Maureen was an exceptional host. She ticked all the boxes with her breakfast, accommodation styling and amenities. Could not have asked for more. The location was also great within walking distance to the main town area.

Property was charming. The breakfast provided was extensive fruit salad and pancakes and biscuits kin the room. There were books to read as well. The history of the property added an extra dimension to our stay. We would certainly recommend this property.

We stayed in The Garden Cottage. Very spacious. Tastefully decorated, a little bit Parisian! Maureen has creative flair and has made this place amazing. Yummy breakfast. Highly recommended.

Unbelievably beautifully restored cottage. Maureen is delightful and was happy to discuss the history of the cottages. Lots of beautifully presented information. Breakfast basket was delicious. Gorgeous little niceties for New Years including port and delicious chocolates. So nice sitting out in the little outdoor area looking over the views. The town itself is not to be missed everything there seems to be all restored carefully and properly. Thank you for the amazing memories. My daughters will be here within the year to experience your beautiful accommodation. Xo

A gem in Richmond

Our cottage … The Chalet … was exceptional … anything and everything you could ever want … and Maureen the host told me it was due for a refurbishment … it was much more than adequate it was really homely The included continental breakfast was personally prepared with added pancakes We will highly recommend the Mulberry Cottage to anyone travelling close to Richmond

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay the night before we embarked on the ThreeCapes track! Super comfy beds, quiet and peaceful setting and delicious breakfast. Maureen was a lovely host.

This is the most spacious and friendliest place we stayed at in Tasmania. Were greeted on arrival and the host could not be more accomodating. The cottage was spacious and beautiful, the bed comfy and huge. A short walk to the centre of Richmond. Cannot recommend staying here enough.

We had an excellent stay at Mulberry Cottage. It was spotlessly clean and included a delicious breakfast, which included homemade blueberry pancakes. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

A simply beautifully presented property. Very skilful and tasteful. Spacious with a lovely lounge area and separate dining area. Anybody who tries to fault any aspect really is a sad case.
