Arlo Chicago
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, and it was amazing. The Millennium room view doesn't disappoint, and the room was amazing! The hotel is located in the center of anything you'd want to do or see in Chicago, being just a few blocks south of the Architecture River Tour, and across the intersection from Millennium Park and Cloud Gate/The Bean. If you're unsure where to stay, you have my word that this hotel is the one for you!"

Crowne Plaza Chicago West Loop by IHG

"Received a message from the hotel in advance that, among other details, parking is available in the garage across the courtyard. Arrived, pulled into garage and into a hotel designated spot in the garage. But at check-in was told all hotel spots were reserved, no more were available, and I needed to move my vehicle. There was no such detail in the advance information -- and it seems pretty important. Also, there was no way to lock/secure the bathroom door."

L7 Chicago by LOTTE
10/10 Excellent
"My problem with most hotels is that they put throws and decorative pillows on beds. These are things that are never washed and incredibly gross. The second issue is they usually have a flat sheet, some kind of comforter and then a top. The comforter is also rarely washed and unfortunately exposed so there’s often hair and gross stuff in there. L7 is INCREDIBLY CLEAN. Their bedding is simple cotton white sheets and nothing else. That’s bold and speaks to their confidence. The linen is so comfy and I had one of the best sleeps of my night. Apart from that, the face mask was a wonderful touch along with the high quality soap/shampoo/lotion. It was also really nice to have a free coffee machine and Perilla restaurant attached. I’d 10/10 recommend. Amazing hotel!"

Hilton Chicago

"The shower was gross. There was hair on the wall of it. Like somebody had their head smashed against it. Disturbing amount of hair. They don’t tell you that parking is a 100$ a night but you get one night free if you self park. Needlessly stressful. Bed not very comfortable. Just kind of run down."

Holiday Inn Chicago – Midway Airport S by IHG
6/10 Okay
"I booked a one night stay in Chicago for a quick trip. Apparently Chicago was quite busy with a bunch of different people events so the hotel was booked for the weekend. I called early in the morning to see if we could do early check in. Unfortunately there was no availability. We were able to put our luggage away while we went to get something to eat. Once we were able to finally get a room the first room was occupied even though their system showed a vacancy. The second room that we had was on a totally different floor. The room was clean however the fridge had an odor. There was also a small stain on the bedsheet. The rooms were recently redone but I don't think I would pick this as a place to stay again."

The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown
6/10 Okay
"We booked the Royal Sonesta Downtown because it appeared to be one of the nicer and more convenient options in the area. At over $3,000 for three nights, we expected a much better experience. The room was decent, but several things felt outdated, and the bathtub handle was broken, so we couldn’t use it. Housekeeping, however, was excellent and one of the highlights of our stay. Our biggest issue was the inconsistency of information from staff. Guest Services was often busy or went to voicemail, forcing us to visit the front desk, which always seemed overwhelmed. We requested early check-in and late checkout when booking. One employee told us to call a few hours before arrival to check availability, but when we did, another representative rudely said they wouldn’t know until we arrived. Fortunately, the front desk agent at check-in was friendly. We also received conflicting answers about ice machines. One employee told us every even-numbered floor had one, only for us to later learn our floor specifically did not. Another employee said ice could be delivered, but when we called for it, they told us it could not and incorrectly claimed our freezer made ice in a super condescending manner. We were told the night before departure that a decision couldn’t be made until the next morning because the house manager wasn’t there. The next day it was denied an hour before normal checkout. Overall, it’s a decent hotel, but not worth the price we paid."

"Not too impressive other than the prime location. We had booked a room for four adults and we got one queen bed and one sofa bed for one person ."
