"The beach area was small and shallow but still allowed for snorkeling and swimming. Being in a protected cove made is safer as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thought I would regret not having a kitchen, but since the resort was so centrally located, great dining options were nearby."

"Had a beautiful time. The ocean front rooms were incredible views. The location was a perfect walking distance to so many places. The lagoon was a perfect safe ocean space for not the beat swimmers. The only complaints are the shower water was either hot or cold very hard to use. The bed was uncomfortable and The door to the patio was very hard to open. And luau was over priced for what it was. I appreciated that they cleaned our room every day and any call we had they would being up what we asked for."

"We were originally planning to stay here for 3 nights but ended up extending to 5 due to a hurricane affecting our plans to visit the other side of the island. Teresa at the front desk was very helpful in helping us extend our stay and ensure we kept the same room. We had booked an Ocean View room but they’d upgraded us to Oceanfront at check in which was really appreciated as well. Our kids loved the stay at the hotel, spending hours playing in the pool. The water slide is pretty slow but nice to have. I really appreciated the self serve laundry room near our room, with a microwave available, and also the boiling water dispenser by the lobby. We didn’t end up eating at the hotel restaurants and saved money by eating in our rooms. The store on site even had reheatable food options. It was a shame the gaming room with the pool table and arcade machines was never open during our stay, but it was nice for our kids to play outdoors anyway. Parking was easy, sometimes the room key wristband didn’t make the barrier open or close but you could just press ‘Assistance’ and they would open the gate for you. Would be great if there was still the manta ray night viewing restaurant, but you have to take a tour to do that now. Handy walk down tho."

"What I liked the most about was the cleanness and hospitality of the staff working on the floor. What I didn’t like about it was the long check in process which took a while. We expected a faster check in with the baby but it simply didn’t happen and we had to wait until a room was available. There were no free umbrellas at the beach front. The chairs with the canopy were $175 each to rent for a day to stay out of the sun when not in the water."

"We had a great stay at Hilton Waikoloa Village. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. While the property is beautiful, it could use some cosmetic updates. We noticed areas where the pool coping was missing, and some doors could benefit from better caulking, fresh paint, and general upkeep. Nui Italian was a fantastic restaurant, and the bar staff was outstanding, providing excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, especially considering we were there during Hurricane Nolo. Despite the weather challenges, the staff worked hard to ensure guests were comfortable and well taken care of. We would gladly return and look forward to seeing some of the property's maintenance improvements in the future."
