Hotel La Quinta Inn & Suites di Holy City

"Was floating around the Monterey Bay area and landed in Santa Cruz after a day of traveling. Booked here on impulse and it was fine value for the price. Staff was friendly and the location is solid - just a couple blocks off of the beach with street parking in the vicinity. Very safe feeling neighborhood. Some portions of the street are restricted to permit parking - so check carefully. They do offer onsite parking, but I opted to pay the meter during operating hours and saved ten bucks....

"Stayed there for one night. Breakfast was mediocre. I let the staff know when I checked in that when I booked on Expedia it said I get $14 credit for parking. I checked out and didn’t get a receipt and was charged the full price of $25. I have called twice since my stay and they still haven’t given me the $14 refund. It was also supposed to be valet parking but we had to park ourselves twice and it was not easy. "
