Checking-in was a bit questionable. I asked for a room that was not facing the wall of another adjacent building and was charged an extra fee for another room. I have been staying at this hotel off and on since 1988. I also didn't like the resort fee!!!

ALA MOANA
The one star rating for communication is for the reservation foul up which was not the fault of the Ala Moana staff, they were amazing! Unfortunately, not booking through the hotel directly caused so much unneeded stress. I paid a lot of money before arriving and once at the hotel they had no reservation ...

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort
Staff was wonderful and lots of local activities. We booked an ocean view and ended up with a partial ocean view. The worst were the flies that were everywhere on the property and around the pools! We gave up laying by the pools because it was just too annoying! We ended up at the beach each day
