"The room was very clean. The property was beautiful!! Most memorable were the incredible staff members, always trying to anticipate any needs of ours in advance. They welcomed us like family- thank you!"
"Staff was friendly and helpful with any questions or requests. The location is very close to shops and a short walk to the beach. Housekeeping did a great job with cleaning our rooms. We would stay here again."
"★★☆☆☆
The room itself was clean, comfortable, and the ocean view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. Waking up and seeing the water every morning was easily the highlight of our stay.
Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for us. This resort is enormous and constantly crowded. There always seemed to be people everywhere, making it difficult to find any sense of peace or relaxation. The pools were packed throughout the day, and the beach area directly in front of the hotel was equally crowded.
Food and drinks on property were grossly overpriced, even by Waikiki standards. We were also surprised that there was no outdoor music or atmosphere around the pool areas, and no swim-up bar or convenient way to order drinks while lounging in the pool.
If you're seeking peace, quiet, and a relaxing Hawaiian getaway, I would recommend looking elsewhere."
"We loved spending time at the lagoon! Activities, lagoon bar and grill, nearby pool and beach gave us plenty to do. We were not as impressed by our room. We were given very few towels and had to call for more. Very flat pillows so we had to order more of those too. Mini fridge didn’t seem to keep much cold and ice maker on our floor was out of order so we had to go to the next floor to get ice. We had a great dining experience at Tropics multiple times but were disappointed by breakfast at Bali. Very expensive and slow service and overdone egg on eggs Benedict. Bartenders at lagoon bar were a blast. Hotel was located in walking distance to two malls, which we loved. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! We would request a room in the Rainbow tower or another tower that is more upgraded than diamond head and recommend spending plenty of time on site at the hotel."
"Amazing!! The staff were courteous and professional! Hotel is close to the beach and Ala Moana mall, literally a hop, skip and a jump. If you have a teenagers this is a perfect place to stay.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable, spacious, and have a microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge.....
The only two set-backs were the need for more pillows and get rid of the ticketless parking......not deal breakers but the self-parking, never worked worked for me.
Ala Moana Hotel is a must stay and truly a great experience!!"
