"The recently renovated and remodeled hotel is outstanding. The spa and associated amenities in the basement are incredible."

"This is a superior property for a Hampton. It is clean, well maintained, and looks new or very recent (as of 2026). The showers are great, with controls on one wall and shower head on the opposite. Breakfast is the standard American hotel offal - sigh. Go to Pine Street bakery for yummy scones and serious coffee."

"A historic property that is within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. Wishing the windows had screens (to keep insects out). Towels are badly in need of replacing. Room was clean. Definitely need ear plugs if you’re sensitive to outside noise. Not likely to stay here again."

"Clean, quiet with comfortable beds. The AC system worked well, with the option of keeping the fan on for night time background noise. Breakfast was well stocked, and the attendant was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of room to sit in the breakfast room. We would certainly stay here again!"

"If you’re looking for the cleanest, the most comfortable, the best kept property, and privacy THIS IS ABSOLUTELY the place! It was an immaculate experience. My advise? Buy the breakfast - and yes get it delivered to your cabin. It’s 1000% worth it. Daniel is an AMAZING chef. Be sure to stop in to the office for homemade treats each day. Dora is so welcoming and kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better couple’s retreat. We’re excited to come back someday!!"

"Staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved sitting out on the lawn in the Adirondack chairs and reading after being out and about. Rooms are a bit cozy and need some place to put clothing etc. We would return."

"I loved the idea of the hot springs water soak and wrap. However, no one said anything about the smell. Smells like eggs! The spa was hot and stuffy and the smell is overwhelming. I did not enjoy that part of my stay at all. The wrap is basically scratchy sheets wrapped around you like a mummy so you can barely move and a smelly cold rag over your face and after its not cold anymore it doesn't feel very nice. The showers to rinse off in the spa were TINY and has the same smelly water. The...
