"The property was spacious and there was plenty of pool/beach chairs available. The rooms and shared areas were all clean to a high standard. The staff we encountered were friendly. The views from this property were beautiful. Also a short walk to local shops and other restaurants."

"Room was clean and the ocean view was excellent! Wi-Fi worked fine. The extra free amenities were very nice like the bike rentals, mini-cooler, ice, and nice thick beach towels. Swimming pool was very nice with a decorative waterfall. Across the bike bath was a small sand beach but nice. A homeless couple were living in some bushes and trees across from the hotel but were hidden from view. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again ."

"Glad we stayed at Royal Sonesta for a week. My family had a great time. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were clean and we spent a lot of time in water. The kalpaki beach access is a great convenience. The food at kukui restaurant was great. The staff were very helpful and the concierge helped me plan out my week to my requirements. The walkway in between the beach and Sonesta provided for some scenic evening walks. The location is ideal. It's close to the airport and many other attractions are...

"My family needed a hotel for the day just prior to our flights at 11pm so we could clean up and shower after a beach day. The cost was good and location made it easy to get to the airport. Although this place is dated, it wasn’t that bad for the price. If looking to do Kauai on a budget, I’d recommend it. No pool or amenities really but clean rooms and showers"

"Front desk staff was rude at check in, we were given the wrong room, the property is so old the air conditioners and front door were completely rusted out, and the cottage rooms are right next to a huge public park right out the windows and front door. "

"It was fine, room was clean, bed was tiny, very spartan, if you need somewhere to stay for a night it's ok, but don't expect anything remotely luxurious. We didn't get the breakfast, parking was available and free."

"great view, nice to have two rooms plus a balcony. small kitchenette added bonus. the pool area is huge with many places to lounge and enjoy the day. the onsite restaurant was delicious. if you want to be in the middle of the island, this is a great option. "
