"Originally from Horncastle now living in the USA, The Rodney is always where we stay when visiting. The staff are so friendly and the food is really great, especially the breakfast, such a nice selection. My only suggestion is that they need to put a small fridge in the rooms, apart from that, love the place!!!!"

"Very convenient for shops, cafes and restaurants. The Agra Indian restaurant is recommended, also the pizza and kebab takeaway by the church. The Myers bakery is superb."

"I was in room one over looking boating lake. It had teas,coffees, glass spoon and cup. Hot water with bath and shower, plenty of fresh towels and floral gel soaps. Comfy bed. Staff helpful and explained about entry and times."

"Very beautiful stay! Very peaceful and relaxing!! Definitely worth the value! It was very Cosy, and when lighting the fire it heated up the whole pod very easily! Hot tub was really relaxing, easy steps and instructions on how to use it and the fireplace. Each pod had box’s for you to buy wood from by scanning the QR code so no need to leave your pod!! The pod came with a very nice bed and lovely bedding! Soft pillows and duvet. Tv provided with channels, Netflix, YouTube etc. Very cosy at night...

"15 minutes drive from the Lincoln Showground, it's a light and airy hotel, friendly staff. The bathroom tiling was unfinished and the mastic areas were roughly done. Having said that the room was clean, bed, pillows and linens were very comfortable. The breakfast was okay, basic and a little dry (bacon, beans and egg) but we didn't come down to eat until 9.30am so maybe that was why. There was fresh fruit, yoghurt, a couple of cereals, bread and a couple of pastries. The restaurant area was...

"Lovely staff in an old beautiful building. The breakfast was great and the room was cosy and clean but a little on the colder side. Unfortunately we were directly above the function room which had a party on the Saturday day. The music was so loud that the furniture was vibrating. I should have requested a quiet room upon booking. I wouldn't let it put me off booking again"

"We had a great time. Staff were great (mostly) and really helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was excellent, my wife and I loved every dish. The bar was well stocked with some great (and favourite) scotch so that was a bonus. We arrived Friday and left Sunday and on the Saturday we had a late lunch which was lovely, sat outside in the garden with the local church in view. Room was comfy and we had the bonus of a little private courtyard which was unexpected. Our only negative came...

"Room excellent, upgraded to executive room, but on 2nd floor, with no lift working. This was OK, but only because we had very light luggage. We really need a ground floor room if there's no lift now, as we are both pensioners sand beginning to experience mobility issues with stairs."

"Nice and simple. Made the booking, received instructions, everything was as stated. Good points: Had a well lit sign so you knew you were there, good parking, exterior lighting for a dark rainy arrival/departure. Quite overall location, spacious room, VERY well supplied (someone has been busy planning or listening) well heated so dry and warm and cosy. Good comfortable bed, good nights sleep, choice of pillows. All in all worth a second visit. Thank you."
